Sherpa's New Affordable Rack System

SherpaEquipmentCo

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to pop in and share our All-New Sport Series offering that we just recently released. This is a lighter weight, lower profile, more affordable offering for those that don't need the higher capacities of our PEAK Series.

The Sport Series line builds on the quality of the Sherpa Name, by opening up a new category of racks with the weekend warrior in mind. We have always dreamed of making our premium racks more accessible while packing in some unique new features. This lineup blends lighter materials and a lower profile with the uncompromising integrity of our traditional mounting system so you can Adventure with Confidence.

This is advertised as being the same height as the shark fin antenna. But will this clear the 2010-2013 shark fin antennas on vehicles with navigation/jbl? I believe those antennas sit higher

We have not had one in to see if that would be an issue. We have not seen a difference in height before at the shop.

UptopOverland is like $1800 for their racks, so it is half of that.

This is sherpa's "affordable" aka cheap version, so you need to compare it to other manufactures cheap versions.

The original manufacture is:

prinsu is 1080 for their standard full length.

FYI, i dont like CBI, im just pointing it out.

Yeah they increased the price of their more expensive rack and then slotted this “affordable” version in. Another reference point is RCI frequently has sales bringing their rack down to sub $800. Sometimes close to $700. Full retail is $925

949 dollars is affordable?

This is in comparison to our PEAK Series Crestone, with a $450 price difference between the two assuming you get a black powder-coated and black crossbar setup on the PEAK Series.

The Sport Series still uses a lot of the same high-quality components you see with our PEAK, including our 1/4" Mounting Feet, Rubber Roof Seals (no silicone), Stainless Black Oxide Coated Hardware, and backed by our Lifetime Product Warranty. The main difference is the side plate and fairing material, as well as the overall lower profile.

This is still 100% a Premium Product just designed for lighter use cases.

What's the turn around time, 4-8 weeks?

Currently, we have a 4-8 week lead time, that said a vast majority of orders are shipping out below the 6-week mark.

With the new Sport product offering and increased demand across all product lines, we have been spooling up internally to manage the volume and bring these lead times back down to where we and you prefer them (IN STOCK).

If you are willing to wait our Customer Service Team is always ready and willing to update order status and answer all questions regarding our product.

My new rack is being delivered tomorrow! Just in time before the weather gets bad. I'll get it installed this weekend and I'll post some pics up.

Confirming I did get my sport rack 2-3 weeks ago. Awesome customer service as always from Sherpa and super helpful. Unless you are doing an RTT for 2+ people this is a great option.

Installed the rack yesterday, fairly straight forward, took a bit to get the fine tuning to where I wanted it but I got it there.
