So about two weeks ago my battery died and after jumping it I noticed that my shift column light was out. I looked over the other interior lights/cigarette outlet thinking I may have blown a fuse trying to start it with a dead battery but everything else seems to be fine. So I assumed that the bulb must have blown. After doing some research I came across a few sources saying that the shift column bulb was a #74. After pulling the bulb it did appear to be blown so I went down to Advanced Auto Parts and picked up a #74 bulb and tried plugging it in and it was too big. I went back to Advanced and looked at the other bulbs they had and found a #2721 that looked identical to the factory bulb and it did fit the socket however I'm still getting no light. So my question is, do I have the wrong bulb still or is there a fuse that I may not have seen? Could it be a short somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.
