Shift Knob 2012 I hate it.

Bringing this post back from the dead. I hate the height of the shifter. I want a low profile shift knob option to help maximize space in the cabin. The metal stick is entirely too high and I'm ok with cutting it down. Am I crazy?

Long one is for the trans, short one is for the transfer case. They still need threaded for their respective shafts. Taps should be here tomorrow.

That is insanely cool!! You could even do things like fill in between the fins with red or something. But way cool just like it is. Bet it would be expensive though huh with all the machining?

Sure could. I used Aluminum Black on the lettering, but I don't like it. It'll get replaced with paint.

The concept is good, just needs some refining.

Yeah, they wouldn't be budget parts, but maybe not too salty. Everything but the lettering is done on manual machines, so there is a fair amount of time involved. I'll make another set once I sort out all the changes and figure out what kind of price I'd have to put on them.

Like other vendors, he does the shift knobs in batches. Shoot him an email and he will give you the expected time frame to have the color you want.

I ordered a shift knob set from him last year with my old USMC squadron logo, and It looks pretty good. A little off center, but most people wont notice it.

Oh, and yea, the shift knobs get cold in winter.
