Shift Spring?

I have an 87 4runner manual 5 speed 4cyl that im doing a bunch of stuff to. (Blazeland IFS long travel, All Pro Rear lift kit, ect, ect) But when i took it to the trails i noticed that it would not stay in 4 low. Every other gear seems just fine and holds great, its just 4 Low on the gearbox that pops out. If i hold it in place it works just fine untill i let go and it pops out lol.

I did get a heavy duty shift spring from Marlin Crawler hoping that it is the issue but my problem is that i have ZERO idea on where these springs go? I did some searching and only can find one reference to it that says to look on the passenger side of the gearbox for a metal plate with 3 allen screws in it but so far i can find nothing that looks like that. But it did not say whether i should be looking on top, bottom, or sides of the gearbox.

I figure since i have the springs i may as well install them, if they work great, if not ill move on, but i would like to know where they go lol.

Anyone ever installed these before that has an idea?
