Where can I find this piece? It disappeared last time I got it detailed. Also, what purpose does it serve?

If your shifter gets locked in place you can release it using a screwdriver in the slot.

LOL - I lost that piece too and later found it in my shop vac. I glued it in place with elmer's glue so it could be pried up again. Next time you're in your buddy's truck, steal his!

The part number is 3355435080 and it's just over $2 to buy a new one at the dealer. The previous owner of my truck lost that piece so I bought a new one.
