Hey guys just wondering who has a stock ride height Trail Edition, with different shocks. Im 90k in my 2011 Trail Edition, And i was told by my dealer it was almost time for new shocks. I was looking at bilstein 4600 series... I was also thinking about buying the Trd Pro Series Parts thats offered on the 2015 4runners, but i know TRD will charge a butt load.. so What shocks should i Run??

The answer depends a lot on what you use your truck for, what capabilities are important to you and your budget.

I have a stock 12 TE with the 4600HD shocks. Since I carry a fair amount of weight in the back I was not worried about trying to raise the front to get it level.

I had them put on at around 50k miles, they made quite a difference for the better, not as much nose dive when brakes are applied was the biggest thing.

They did raise the front a little so I had to adjust the headlights a little bit.

The thing that I would warn anybody thinking of getting the 4600s is if you get them from Shock Warehouse they do NOT come with any mounting hardware!

I had to buy the front rubber mounts from somewhere else and re-use the rear ones.

I understand that the 5100s come with everything necessary to put them on a vehicle.

The 5100s I bought did not come with front upper bushings. However my stock ones were in great shape so just reused them.
