Well if it doesn't come with the running boards just explain you want to make it easier for her to climb in to your truck after the lift goes on. Don't explain that sliders aren't normal running boards and she won't know the difference.

Sure, but then my wife will know I spent extra for the sliders. If I pick them up when I'm in Colorado then she'll just think they came with the car.

Finding time to put them on myself is the challenge. Too many unfinished projects already...
