Bought a 2000 SR5 sport with 177,000 miles yesterday but haven't picked it up yet. Took some pics of rust underneath & now I'm getting scared! How bad is it????

Just looks like a bit a surface rust to me.

Thanks that makes me feel better! Outside looks great as well as interior. Should I leave it alone or treat it?

LOL - I was gonna say, mine's got more rust than that, but it's all still just surface rust.

But yeah, I would definitely treat it; I just got mine about 2 weeks ago and I'm looking into treatment options.

Yeah, no worries there, bro.

Id get some POR15, Marine Clean and Metal Ready and just clean n' POR15 the bottom at least 2 coats.

I just did it to my 03 and 08. The 03 had some surface rust, especially on the skid plate,...looks near-new now!
