So it looks like it will cost me $1800 to replace my trani  Do you guys think it's worth it? Here are the facts:

-1999
-101,000 Miles
-Worth about $4400-$5100 normally
-Would like to keep it for a couple years
-All other maintenance up to date

Thoughts?

This is for my Camry. I don't own a Runner yet...

Question #1 would be: what's wrong with your transmission? :noidea:

Everytime I try to put it in gear, it won't catch. I can't even put it in Park

Is this in the Camry, that left you stranded on the highway? Find a used one @ car-part.com nearby.

The same one, Ceasar :( Just trying to justify if it's worth replacing or not.

Your post is very vague. Whats wrong with it? Did your get the milkshake in your tranny and radiator?

Sorry, I should have explained better, but here's the condensed story: I replaced my radiator in my Camry, saw that the trani fluid that leaked out looked like oil but foolishly didn't do anything about it. Drove it about 200 miles before the gear slipped on the highway and I wasn't able to put it back into any gear. No milkshake, just ran it low on fluid. There might have been a small leak in the hose between trani/radiator, but I don't think so. Just should have checked the fluid level but I neglected it. Now I'm learning that the mistake by burning up $1800
