Should i run 305/70r17's?

For those of you who are running a 3" lift and a 1" body, or something close, and are running 285/70 or 295/70 tires on 17" rims, Do you think you could fit 305/70's and be able to do enough to get them not to rub?? I have only seen one 4runner on 305's in this forum from searching but he had 16's. Just looking for opinions. I will be ordering my icon stage 2 tomorrow and already have a 1" BL and i am trying to decide on tires.

305 km2's are my next tire and I'm anticipating much more trimming than with my 285's. I trimmed tons so I don't rub, even at full stuff but a bmc and more trimming is definitely gonna happen to fit 305's properly. If you don't wheel, it should be easier to make them fit.

can't speak for 305, but im running 315 and i had to do body chop and lots of trimming in the front, and on a full turn it'll rub on the UCA, think I might need 1/2 spacer.

35's are 315's, OP is talking about 305's or 34x12's.

And your reasoning behind that?

Just to fit 285s' I had to:

-Angle grind/chop the body mounts
-Remove fender liners and hammering pinch welds flat
-Remove mud flaps
-Shrockworks bumper gives me room to the front

And I think I'll still rub at full flex. I can only imagine how much more rubbing 305's will be.... But the duratrac tires run big for their size, maybe that's it.

Back when I had stock bumper 285s and 17x9 -38 F5s easily fit.

Off Road bumper, 295s and 17x9 -38 wheels. I could easily fit 305s with a normal 17x8.5 -12 or less wheel right now. Next set will be 305 or something in that ball park.

I have 3" lift and 285/75 17s and it required a large amount of cutting and hammering and they still rub.
