Should I sell my '12 T4R trail and get a '15 TRD Pro?

I bought my TE in 2012 and there was no white option when I did... I noticed the new TRD pro 4runner will come in white.... will it have a lot more changes over my 2012 TE?

I would wait until it comes out before thinking about it, too many unknowns (options, price, availability etc.) to worry about it now. In the meantime, enjoy your TE. I will say I do love the super white

a supercharger would be slick but I imagine it will be basically a Trail edition with a small lift, bilstein reservoir shocks, wheels/tires and badges... I wanted a white TE so bad but settled for gray because the white wasn't available... now that these TRD's are coming in white I may take the hit to get what I really wanted from the get go...

Sounds like you already answered your own question. It will be exactly like the 2014 trail with some badges and some minor suspension tweaks and different wheels and tires.

You may want to wait until Toyota announces the pricing. From what I've heard, Toyota is only going to make a special run of 1200-1500 TRD Pro vehicles. What I don't know is whether that number is just 4Runners, or a total of all three--Tundra, Tacoma & 4Runners. Anyway, in the past Toyota has had a real bad habid of tacking on some "extra profit" to these limited-number special editions.

I also like white trucks, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting my head around a white 4Runner with lots of black trim pieces/badging. It might look fine, I just don't know. Definitely the "Imperial Storm Trooper" look, I'm sure. Our '06 Tacoma was a white TRD Sport--all white--no chrome except for badging. Of course, you can always get out the plasti-dip and color it however you want.

BTW- the 2014 Trail Edition DOES come in white!

Since it's 99.5% identical, why not get a better coilovers suspension, wrap it matte white, throw some leather in there and take the fam out for a nice lobster dinner. But it's all about what you want we can't make the decision for you

outside of a satoshi grill, falken wild peaks, special rims and a very very minor lift there is nothing otherwise that separates it from a trail edition. i expected something more substantial to throw into the mix, like factory rock rails and a 4:1 transfercase. all it is is a different shirt for the day

And unique color. And a factory warranty for those mild suspension upgrades. These are all nice options that a few people will do anyway. Now, if they want $60K for it then you are right. As far as I know pricing has not been announced but they are worthy upgrades and if the price is right I just might drive one of the pumpkin colored ones off the lot come fall.

i personally don't care for red, and the warranty doesnt matter to me as the suspension thats on it wouldn't last a while in my ownership, and i fully expect them to charge a 5-7k$ premium over a Trail for silly 'upgrades'

The cost of devaluation and the upgrade over a trail cost may not be worth it.... I may be better off taking the extra 15k or so and dumping it into my current trail edition.

And will be replaced by your insurance company in case of an accident, without the dreaded "we don't replace aftermarket items."
