Should I take my brushguard off?

Remove the brush guard. Your front grille w/o the BG reminds of the previous gen Land Cruiser...imo looks more upscale. Keep the front skid plate though.

Alright sounds good, your down for #1. I was thinking saleing it for around $550, $500 for the guard and $50 shipping. I remember paying around $800 for it if I remember correctly at a local shop called Truck Toys. But does $550 sound good to you??

About the skidplate, I will be ordering a brand new one because I had to bend that one to get it to fit with the brushguard.
 
Like I always say , to each their own. Personaly , I dont think they look good for street. As matter of fact, when I bought my 2001 4R , the 1st owner had just installed one. Guess what was the first thing I did when I got home ? I took that ugly thing off. I tried to sell it, no buyers. Heck , the guy down the street has a 4R just like mine, and he wouldnt take it for free. I put it out by the road and nobody got it. ( maybe I should have put up a sign saying DO NOT STEAL THIS next to it ) Finaly, The trash truck came and picked it up. I know I get better gas mileage because I dont have areo drag. I wish I didnt have to have the Bug shield because I know that creates drag too. I say keep the skid plate though , I bought one off of ebay and I think they look cool.

yea i would take it off looks alot cleaner.

im thinking the same thing i have a set of hellas to but i dont want to drill into my bumper...
 
Brian, I like the look that it gives your truck. Now I don't really like lowered trucks, but it looks good with yours. IMO it brings out your grill. just my 2 cents though.

Well the decision has been made, I'll be taking it off as soon as I can along with the Hella 500's and I'll be getting a brand new skid plate. Thanks to everyone who gave an opinion, I appreciate it!
 
Put them in the attic for awhile ...just in case you change your mind. If you decide that it looks better without, you should be able to sell or trade them. I think your gonna like it better without

OK, saw a runner here (same color as mine) over the weekend with the same style guard on it. I don't think I really like it. Also, if I do get a guard, I think I'd want one that doesn't block the headlights.

Yeah, it's coming off, I'll be getting a brand new one because I had to bend that one a little to make it fit.
 
Yeah i saw, I have a brushguard too, hope it'll work with mine, do you know what brand yours is? (guard)
 
i just ordered a black Westin one from autopartswarehouse. it was supposed to get free shipping but then they said something about it being to big/heavy and they would have to send it on a special truck... so they hit me for another 120 dollars. i was soooo mad.

i woulda actually probably drove up to get yours brian (i wouldnt think it would be over a 5 hour drive?) but i don't think chrome would work for mine.

LOL you could've always had it painted black, yeah 5 hours sounds about right. You should cancel your order, you'd probably save a lot of money.. lol
 
can't now, my dad's stupid and did it on his credit card instead of mine, so he agreed with it when they told him it was gonna cost more. it is supposed to be a birthday gift to me but i told him if he really wanted to waste that much more money on it go ahead lol
 
Time for a quick update, sorry for the crappy cell phone pic!
But anyways, I turned the Hella 500's upside down. I might take them off, but I've got a skid plate on the way and I want to see what they look like with the skid plate on. Also I'm going to order some black headlights w/ black corners! I'll post more photos in a week or two!
