Should I trade my TRD Rims?

I have a guy Ive been talking with and wants to trade my TRD rims (Pic #1 and 2) for his Tacoma wheels (Pic # 3 and 4). Oh and $500 cash. Both are BFG rugged trail 265/70/16, and both have 15,000 miles on them. My idea would be ride on them until December when I go back to LA (Currently at University of Arizona) where my stock 5 stars are (Pic #5)! Swap over these tires onto those rims and plasti dip them black. I think the look would go fine with my car right? Then maybe sell those rims without tires for how much maybe $300 so ill have $800 from this deal? Only spend $700 on the rims and tires so ill be up $100 and have 4 free tires. Opinions...worth the cash or worth keeping the rims.

Ehhhhhh, I like the TRD wheels, but they're not my favorite. But I know that a lot of people would pay top dollar for them.

So personally what I would do is, wait 'till you get your 5 star wheels, put those on, sell your TRD wheels at a premium price and use that $$ to buy some wheels you really want...like these » STEALTH 6 MODEL

Seems like a fair deal but if he offered $500, see if he will bite on $600.
I think selling stock wheels without tires for $300 is doable but you may find it harder than you think.

I saw your runner on Tucson craigslist, I'm from Tucson as well. Graduated from the U of A last year! Small world, eh? What are you studying?

Sounds like a lot of running around and a lot of needless tire unmounting/mounting but I like the idea you have. I honestly like your stock rims more than the TRD ones, but I have never been a fan of streetlocks. I like the clean look of all black rims.

Although, it may be worth it to just wait and sell your TRD rims straight up, just to save yourself some time.

Keep the TRD wheels but turn the tires around ($15 cost each) so the lettering isn't shown.

Next take off the runnning boards and that front brush guard.

Those small adjustments will be huge visual +1
