Show me your off road lights......please

Hella 700ff lights converted to 55W HID. The conversion is very easy to do. The lights are about $75 and the 55W HIDs are abut $45 from DDM Tuning. It is the cheapest 10,000 lumens that you can buy. The Hella 700ff give a decent spread for driving also. More of a spot than a flood light, but spreads more light horizontal that vertical.

I have four of the hella 700ff HID converted on my roof, 55w and 5000k. I just used a couple cheap HID kits from ebay, and couldnt be happier with the results. So much brighter than normal halogens, and the range is pretty good. I also have a cheap 20'' lightbar on the front of my bumper too that works well for a flood light, but doesnt have much range.

It is bright, lol. Have to keep the sunroof closed, which is fine.

Thanks for all the responses, but did anyone do anything custom and have them mounted somehow to the top of the bumper? Seems like a great place to put them, just don't want drill the bumper and it seems it would be too flimsy. The defiant bars and bull/push bars are fine it's just I didn't want to stick out any further than I had to.

Ya mine doesn't have the shade. Been planning on double limo tint. I might just put my bar inside the front grill

So this is new to me and I will be installing behind the lower drill in bumper. Would a 1 row or 2 row be better? What's the main differences.

Do you have the shade for sunroof or is it just the glass? Can you possibly take a picture with sunroof closed but lights turned on so I can get a feel for how much light shines in.

That's what I was thinking, how is that, no problems? Any flex/shaking in the bumper area while driving?

I used some massive washers as backing plates - top and bottom. Look for a more flush part of the underside and it's fine.

Hardest part was drilling into the bumper of a new SUV.

Now I did this 10 years ago or 30 years in light tech time ha. There must be a better option than LightForce. Not very versed in auto lights anymore but for off road motorbikes there are some real nice LED or HID stuff available. advmonster.com is what I'll be adding to my KTM. Don't see why something like that won't work on a car?

I bought some KC daylighters maybe 4 years ago for my old 3rd gen swapped them over to my brush gruad on this truck, didn't like the look and have had them sitting around forever. Bought some DDM HID's and 55w ballasts for like 50 bucks, threw them in the reflectors and they're bright as hell. I'd buy a cheap "offroad light" from harbor freight or something and get some DDM HID's. I'm waiting for the CBI ditch style brackets to come out (by the mirrors like jeeps have)

Yes, mine has the shade.

I took pictures with the shade closed and lights on/off, but there is zero light leakage. Did you want a picture with the shade open and the lights on? Cause its dam bright if so. You cant drive with no shade/light on.

Haha that's all I needed to know them. Scrap the idea of putting it on the bar. Might just install on the lower grill of front bumper

How'd you get screws into the front bumper for your light bar? i drilled holes to put mine but i couldnt get to the hole. it looks like you have to drill about 12" down the hole bumper...

I like the rear fog! I know some higher end cars have them, I wonder why the aren't more common. I want to add some Aux lights to the rear of my rack to help in loading my trailer. I would like to have the switch up by me so I can use them as reverse lights too if needed. I haven't found a source to help me through the wiring portion yet.

Anyone have advice?
