Hopefully she isn't depressed or anything, I would imagine being around kids and everything like that, that it would help. We had to put the sister down also, really didn't go over well with the one we still have. Very sad, but then again no one is home much to entertain her. That's why we got the shepherd; he seems to have made her come around pretty well.

Huskies are definitely one of the best looking breeds out there!

She was VERY depressed for quite a while after I put Norm down. I came home and Norm was seizuring in the yard and basically dead at that time and Lucy was laying next to him. She obviously knew he was gone and of course when I took him and didn't come back, she was obviously confused and upset. It took her a few weeks and we gave her a lot of special attention as well. She seems pretty happy now and still enjoys playing and sitting out watching the squirrels and stuff.

They are very pretty dogs, very unique. Both of mine have/had bright blue eyes, which freak a lot of people out, but they don't have an aggressive bone in their body when it comes to people. However, small animals and cats and stuff don't stand a chance if they catch them.

The emotion dogs can have is incredible. Very sad to see them so down like that, but glad to hear she is alright now!

The blue eyes on them are beautiful! They can be a little freaky up close if you don't see them often, but it's cool for sure. Our set of sisters used to go after small animals, caught and killed a few unfortunately sometimes. We have two cats though which have managed to stay alive! (Some close calls have been going on because of the shepherd). I can only imagine what a full bred would be like.

OMG, you two have to stop talking about this, it's making me sad. I don't know what I will do if the day ever comes that something has to be done with my 13 yr old. :cry2:

I wouldn't wish what I had to go through on my worst enemy. I knew Norm's days were numbered, he had been on medications to help with his ailing hips for about a year and I knew it wouldn't be long and he had lost quite a bit of weight, but he was still generally happy and pain free. But, to find him in the state he was in and the trouble they had actually putting him down, I seriously wouldn't wish it on anyone. I bawled my eyes out and will still go out back and sit in a chair and still stare at his doggy door waiting for him to come out and lay his head on my knee.

That's the rough part about having pets, for sure.

Don't have any of him with my 4Runner yet but this is Hank. He was 2 in November. He's a rescue, my guess was some kind of Pitbull type mixed with a Pointer or Boxer. Also been told American Bulldog mix and a million other things. Honestly don't care, he's an awesome dog and that's all that matters to me.

We have an Italian Greyhound - his name is Lucca (pronounced like the hit man in "The Godfather" movie)

he's a great little companion, and the Vet/Breeder we bought him from- litter box trained him- so no going outside at 4AM or when its raining or 6" of snow on the ground because he has to go

Perfect for our Condo living lifestyle

IG's have a greyhound styled body, are extremely fast, but ours (full grown) is like 6.5lbs

these are my pups Duece and Kirra. Duece is a 2yr old doberman/whippet (fastest dog you will ever see) and Kirra is a 1yr old australian shepard/border collie mix. one of their favorite things to do is hop into the back of the 4runner and take a ride out to my property to run around in the woods and team up to hunt rabbits and such lol

Prince is the Black Lab. What can I say. He's the best. We still can't believe someone gave him up.
Bruce is the new pup in the neighborhood that's out for his first cruise in the 4Runner.
