Show Off Your LED Light Bars

This is my main concern with LED bars right now. The optics on most these bars are just too shallow to get the distance I'm looking for. They also use chintzy 3 watt emitters, even on the overpriced Rigids. I'm seriously considering going 55W HID Hella 500's instead. Do you have any output shots/videos to share with us?

I don't have any that do them justice since I had my HID hella 500's way before I got a decent camera. I am not kidding with you though when I say that 55w 500's will throw useable light a half mile or more they are incredible. I would suggest going with the 700 ff's or the standard 500's with the Fresnel lenses. They handle the light a lot better than the 500ff's. If you need any help just PM me I've done a lot of these conversions lol.

If you don't mind used lights hop on dezertrangers.com, the prerunner guys usually list their lights pretty cheap, I see pairs or sets of three Hella 4000's all the time for 100-150 already HID converted and Baja Designs or Lightforces for around 200$ a pair.

I have a 41.5" led bar with slag factory mounts.


There's about a quarter of inch gab between the light bar and windshield.



And here's my back light. 21.5" which got stolen of my truck. I just recently bought a new one with 4D lenses that I will be welding the nuts onto the mounting.brackets.

I run lights from SideTracked Offroad - Off Road LED Lights, LED Light Bars and they are awesome lights. We have used them from Rubicon to chasing the Baja 1000 all night! The guys over at Sidetracked rolled over their light at KOH this year and crushed it, plugged it in later on and still worked.

Anyways there are tons of lights out there we just like to support local guys putting out great products. We do lots of offroad stuff here at the shop and have customer running his lights. I have a jeep TJ as well I run two pods up front and one amber in the rear, that thing is bright! I'll have to post up some picture up here in the next few days. For my 4runner once we install the rack and front bumper we'll measure to see what light bars fit best (pictures will follow that too)

I welded beefy bracket on the back side if the bumper then set the face depth of the light where I wanted it in the grill. This light puts out a crazy amount of light. 30" Rigid combo.

Lightbars on a Gobi Stealth rack?

Hey guys, anyone got any pics of a 3rd gen with 4x 4" light bars across the top rack? Or a 2x 4" on the outside and a 10" in the middle?

I just got a Gobi Stealth Rack for my 3rd gen... now thinking about lighting options: get some for rack, or wait a few months for a Shockworks bumper and mount a 20" light bar on the front hoop (maybe with some fog lights in the bumper)... unfortunately, don't think I'll have funds do to lights on both rack and bumper

I've seen a bunch of pics of 4th/5th gens that have 4x 6" light bars across the front of the rack (like this), and that looks pretty sweet but the 3rd gens are narrower and the rack can only fit 4x 4" (pretty pricy if going with Rigid who seems to be one of the few manufacturers that do 4" light bars)... wondering if that still looks good with 4x 4" or better to do 4-10-4 ?

22' kind of backed into the bumper... Wish I had installed it completely into that hole instead of in the front though :-(.

two pods behind the grill. Had to cut part of the grill mount, took little time to figure it out but they look great!

Getting a roof cargo rack soon (looking at curt w/ extention) and will most likely put another bar or two pods up there.
