2001 Frontier... had lots of fun with it. I was happy to sell to a young kid buying his first truck. This pic must be right when I got it... I took off the step bars, added fog lights...
Here's a fuzzy picture of my first - a 1988 Chevy S-10 Blazer, taken shortly after I bought it new. What sold me on it was that Chevy had just started putting in the 4.3 liter V-6, making it the quickest of the small SUV's at the time (the old 2.8 models were slugs). I sold it in 1995 at 130,000 miles; the buyer put another 120,000 miles on it before it died. It was a bucket of rattles, but it was relatively trouble-free, and very easy to work on.![]()
Neat! My first truck (not a 4x4) was a white strippo 1974 Ford F100 that I bought in 1980 with 40,000 miles on it. Looked just like the one in the picture (other than the 4x4 part). It had the 360 (with an oil bath air cleaner that was a real PITA to clean). No power steering, no power brakes, and of course, no A/C. Had a ball in that truck.1975 Ford F-250 highboy with 360 cid big block. Best truck I ever owned.
Had it before the digital age so no photos but it looked just like this one.
