just picked up my custom built roof rack from 4plus and i love it! It's freakin' huge but it is exactly what we wanted. It fits our 7ft. Long oztent, maxtrax, up to 32 gallons of fluids in rotopax, hilift, shovel, arb awning (if it ever arrives - what's up, arb?!) and still has some room for some other extras, hopefully our snow peak camping table. All of the latches are integrated in the bed planks along with the flexibility of easily moving them for multi use.

It uses the existing roof mounts from the factory rack and dave kindly cut a 4runner logo in to some of the panels

My SURCO. I loved it the first time I saw it, but agree with those that feel it sits a bit high. I've seen some DIY low mounts, and I've been contemplating attempts at fabricating my own, but I have just been too lazy. I think it's time, though. The overall look of the basket itself is perfectly what I was looking for, but would like more of a sleek look to my lil' rig, with a lower seated rack. Long distance driving with a rack that sits this high is killer on my mpg's!

Picked up a megawarrior + extension + tire carrier + 2 light brackets already installed. VERY happy with it as I found a great deal. Was planning on Whitwelder's custom racks until I found this! Very glad I didn't go load warrior as I was originally thinking. With my FJ swap + top out spacer I just barely fit into the garages at work and the mall so I dont think I'll be putting lights up top but might use one of the light brackets to mount a firestik...we'll see what happens

I love the way the Rola racks look on the 4th gens. Right now im trying to save up for a Baja rack (spent some of said saved money on my exhaust....worth it!) I dont know what all you can add on to the Rola basket, I tried looking up spare tire carriers, hi lift mounts and what not for the Rola and could not find anything major. The big thing that drew me to the Baja is the fact that It can hold up to 300lbs. Nothing like having the best seat in the house where ever you go

Ok, I believe I will be eating my last post. I found a great deal on a Loadwarrior the other day so I picked it up and it looks really good. I guess now I can put some of that money into the Spidertrax jar.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I dont have the cable to my camera so I can try and get some pics (finally sun and warmth in TN on the same day?!) but I know 4runr30 has a Loadwarrior w/o the extention for a comparison. Think he has some goodies bolted to it aswell.

One of the nicest 4runners on this site. Looks like the Hannibal rack I used to have on my Land Rover. LOVE low-profile racks.

I had been searching far and wide for a african outback roof rack and could never find one.I even went tho the extreme of attempting to make my own (FAIL). Then, I found this one which is similar in design and almost exactly the same installation wise.

I purchased the Front Runner Landcruiser 200. It carried a hefty price tag but I really like the sturdiness and versatility it offers. plus my next purchase will be a tent for it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a another option out there and I am happy with my purchase.

Mike I've been in the same spot. I love the African Outback rack, this is a great option and really is no more expensive than a AO would have been. Thanks for the link.
