Called and spoke to Justin and picked his brain about the 3rd Gen skids. Not surprisingly, it doesn't *appear* that a Shrockworks front skid will coordinate with a BudBuilt belly skid.

I did ask if the 15% discount would apply to the fairlead and license plate mount and he said it should because Schrockworks makes them.

EDIT: MmmFAIL on the code working on the aforementioned items. Guess I'll have to call it in...

Order placed. 2010 front bumper. Anyone know which OME spring to run 885 or 887 with bumper and winch?

Hung: sorry you experienced some issues with the code. Hopefully, you got everything sorted out.

Hrod: I'm not familiar with the OME for springs for the T4R, but I'm running the HD springs on my Taco with an ARB bull bar and winch and it rides nicely. I hope that helps.

Well looks like bumper and winch will add 180-200lbs to front, 884 OME springs are for stock weight, 885 OME springs for 70-180lbs, and 887 heavy springs for 230LBS+. I'm thinking of going for 885, just don't want to under do it, but conversely don't want a ride of a 1ton truck

Do you have or plan to add skids/sliders/other armor? Don't forget to include that in your math. Added a substantial amount of weight to my rig (even with simple math splitting it equally between front and rear).

I just got some RCI aluminum skids, and still looking for sliders but will have some at some point.

Mark advised they are thinking about doing a special group buy on 3rd gen skids hopefully in the next couple weeks...and advised me to hold off until then.

Just wanted to let you know what's up with my order..so you don't think I backed out on you. I'm sure you're going to break 20 item easily..so no worries there.

Russel:Thanks for the update, man! According to Mark, his e-mail has been pretty full and the group buy is going well. So, I can only hope that we make our 20 products. Good luck with your build, bro!

Hrod: I have 883s on my Taco, which are the Heavy Duty springs and, as I mentioned, they ride great. I think if you plan on going balls out on your T4R build, you can't go wrong getting OME's HD springs. That's just my opinion. I still have skid plates to add, too. However, OME's springs aren't that expensive, so you could always get two sets and test them out. However, as you probably already know, the springs do require a little break in period.

Question, if going black powder coated, do most go textured or non-textured. After I ordered I realized for $5 more I could get textured. Going on Super White T4R TRD Pro.

While textured sounds good it seems to me future touch up would be much easier on the regular powder coat. But you guys might be better at it than me!

I went with textured for better traction for the wife and kids. I'll do <10% off roading. Figure any possible touch ups will be primarily underside and not visible. If I don't like that and touch up doesn't work then I figure could always look at some bedliner touch up???

I agree if you're a hardcore trail runner and using the sliders for what they are designed for you'd prob want the smooth option.

Nope. Basically saves shipping cost with discount applied. Better than the full boat!
