I ordered a few weeks ago, I was just saying it was tough to pay for something I hadn't seen. You're photos have put me at ease...a bit. Hoping the center filler works out for us non limited guys

Why does this look better to me than the 10-13 bumper...all that changed was the filler pieces right?
Maybe I'm going crazy, or maybe it's finally starting to grow on me...

EDIT: I think it's the black on black that helps it blend well and look so nice. IMO that's why [MENTION=48772]Jesse1983[/MENTION]'s is so freakin sexy.
correct - all that changed was the filler pieces and the piece they had to make for the lower half of the grille. If it were mine, I'd probably ditch the upper half stock grille and the lower half they fabricated and just satoshi that whole area.
and don't be confused, your truck with all that white/black would look amazing with one of these.
I'm really curious of the weight of those filler pieces. they seem to fit A LOT better than the 10-13's. Maybe [MENTION=63082]TxBxSx[/MENTION] will chime in and let those of us with heavy drooping filler pieces coordinate a deal for a swap for some lighter ones

I think you are talking about the plates below the headlights? The did a great job on those. Other than the slight difference in color between the powder coat and the factory paint, it is very difficult to determine where the factory body starts and the Shrockworks begins. I have mentioned this before, I will eventually get the plates removed and factory paint matched.
If you have the time / money and are a perfectionist, as most on t4r , I would have had them give me the two plates to be factory paint matched while they worked on the bumper.

Well, that takes care of one VA disability payment! One will be on order for me soon. Now you'll be able to make a 14 Satoshi look good putting the "Toyota" on the top crossbar...that would cover the cutout I should think. Nice rig!

Changes to the bumper include slightly different top tubing, different filler pieces to match the new front end(fits both limited and trail/SR5), and we removed the blinkers since they are integrated in the new headlight housings. The new trim is made from 14g rather than 11g making them ALOT lighter and almost half the weight. Also, the new front end provided us with some different options for fastening them to the truck so they are solid. I'm extremely satisfied with how this project came out.
The way Toyota has been making their trucks lately has really forced us to venture out of our comfort zone and try some new solutions, and we are certainly getting better and more comfortable with this sort of thing. This approach allows us to still provide a truly bolt on solution that can be installed by most anyone with some basic hand tools. Glad you guys like it!

I totally agree with the black-on-black being the part that makes it sexy. How do you think it would look on my '14 white? I feel like I'd want to even it out with a rear bumper as well...

Front & rear on white? Yep. & accounting for personal tastes, I'd say sliders to tie it all together, but that's just me.

[MENTION=63082]TxBxSx[/MENTION], y'all didn't happen to take measurements to fill the entire grille area did you? I wouldn't mind a filler piece that deletes the Toyota OEM grille altogether... In fact I was going to see if you could do a custom filler like that when I placed my order here in a month or so.

Hey Justin,
My bumper is on order from the November GB. Are the filler pieces for the '10-'13's going to be made with the 14g now to drop weight and make them easier to work with? You said the new front end allows for a different mounting solution for the filler pieces. I assume it assists in making them mount more solid than the "old" design???

Looks great! If it were me, I'd just completely ditch the entire OEM upper grill shell and fab a new one out of steel to make the whole unit a little more cohesive and mean looking.

I think it would look pretty good! None of the available bumpers for our trucks have ever grabbed me and made me instantly say "I need one now", but this iteration is the closest that I've seen by far.
I'm picky though, and Schrockworks has the best solution available by far - they've really done a fantastic job here. But like they said, I think the way the front of the 4runner is built makes integrating an aftermarket bumper very difficult without it looking like a 10,000 pound inverted snow plow.

Not true Gabe. The trail has the exact same piece except that it is color matched the truck instead of Chrome. Look at the piece right below the Sombrero. I really see this as an easy solution the the gap for all 14s
