I just got my sliders!!!!

Did any of you guys end up drilling?

The instructions note that I could need a drill on the passenger side in order to widen an existing hole plus the "optional" hole up front.

Factory Rocker Panels trimmed to fit Shrockworks

In case anyone is interested, I have a 2012 4Runner SR5. I purchased the Shrockworks Sliders. I like the sliders, but didn't realize there would be such a gap after removing the factory panels to install the sliders. Also, along the front wheel well area, it's kind of unsightly with nothing there. It was after I bought the sliders that Shrockworks came out with the trim package. Instead I trimmed my factory panels and am happy with the look/results. Not hard to do. Just an option and saved the $269 for the TE trim package.

i use a Mac too. and flipped yours on my iPad. :nerd:

i'm guessing that you rotated your image using Preview.app, which doesn't actually rotate the original file; it just displays the image as rotated within Preview. i think if you rotate and "Save As..." the change becomes persistent.

You Sir, are exactly right. It was Preview. The next one I saved to iPhoto and then exported, worked fine then.

Note on the trim: It saves a lot of $ if you're sure you won't need the original panels anymore. Once I figured out how to do it, it probably took me about 20 minutes. The first one longer, due to figuring out a template of where to cut.

I'd really like to know this answer too! I want to order the Shrockworks sliders with full tread plates but I have a 2016 limited with stock rocker panels. does the shrockworks replacement panel cover this up and look clean? The pics on the Shrockworks site is hard to tell how it actually works. does anyone know?

Yep, there's a hole to drill on the passenger side in one of the cross members. There's an optional hole to drill on the other side, as well.

I haven't drilled either yet - and probably won't drill the optional one.
