no need for sliders yet. and my canadian TE running boards are much sought after!
i'm waiting for what ARB has to show and then i'll make a decisionarty:
I like the design of the ARB sliders... Not sure they will be making though. I contacted them back in Decemeber.

Titanpat57- How does the 20% tint match the front. I was thinking of going a tad lighter.

I like it!..the color is off just a hair(more from the inside looking out)..but I can live with it, and don't even notice

It's gonna be longer then 2 weeks. I ordered mine on Tuesday thru the owner,Jim , over the phone ,supposed to be a month or more.

The look and design are awesome! First SUV, means first attempt at running boards/sliders. I want to keep the look steady on my trail which has me thinking Shrockworks Rock Sliders are the proper choice.
However, will they truly serve as a "step up"??? I'm 210lbs and will not be able to stomach such a purchase if these sliders are going to flex, creak or weaken after every step.
They say they are strong, but my thought is that they are strong against everything but my downward force caused by my "step-up".

I never read or heard a bad thing about Shrockworks quality. Only complaint I've heard is the wait. That's why he is now saying 1-2 months order time and if they come quicker ,that's all the better.
I seriously doubt they will creak as they are made to handle the weight of the truck and them some.
I agree, Shockworks makes some very stout stuff! I wanted more of a step, so I am making mine to come straight out not bent up 30 degrees. I am also going to throw a piece of plasma cut steel with a gritty powder coat on top to serve as a step.
I am almost done with mine and then am trying to get some info on getting them mass fabicrated here in Denver so i can offer to others at hopefully a reasonable price.
Harper7 do they offer two different models, one for SR5 and Limited and another for trail? I ended up cutting my rockers to get additional clearance.

For right now he only has them for a Trail Ed. as that is what he had to work with for fitting.But he is looking to make them for the SR5/Limited when he can find one local to work with. They will fit all models if you take the rockers off like I did.
Can't wait to see pics of yours and you might be able to sell alot of them.

They will have no problem holding you. The brackets wrap around 3 sides of the frame and are cinched by a large 1/2" bolt on top. You can't budge them.
Sliders are designed to support the weight of the vehicle temporarily as you "slide" over a large obstacle.
As for a step, the 4th gen sliders tuck up fairly close to the body, you can fit you foot in there but it is not a step.

talked to a guy at Shrockworks about this product. he said they're gonna put up some pictures of the sliders on a 2010 T4R (in the next week or two). he also said it was going to be a couple months before the first batch goes out.
apparently they just powdercoated the very first "prototype" set and are now going to start the process of lasercutting mounting brackets.
he said that he's "pretty dang positive" that it will fit the SR5, but that SR5 owners will need to remove the plastic trim piece that runs horizontally under the doors (apparently the TE doesn't have this piece so TE owners won't have to do any sort of modification)
i don't know if i can wait a coupla months!

Does ARB make sliders for the T4R? I checked their website and found bull bars for the 4Runner, but no sliders or steps.no need for sliders yet. and my canadian TE running boards are much sought after!
