Does anybody know what the drill bit is for on the gas tank skid? My instructions had a missing sentence in them. LOL!

When you mount up the skid there is an extra hole in the skid on the outside frame rail. I think you are supposed to drill up through there and use the self-tapping bolt that was provided. I did not drill the hole yet.

So I had an email exchange with Mark from SW today on the fitment of my engine skid, and sent him pictures of the installed skid, and how it did not match up. Turns out they did send me a KDSS skid, and they assumed that because I had a TE that I had KDSS.
They were very quick to respond and offer to send me a new (non-KDSS) skid and also a UPS return label for the KDSS skid they originally sent. The new skid should ship in a bout 2 weeks. They told me I could hang onto the old one until I get the new one. Overall super pleased with how quickly they got back to me and did the right thing.

or give a little more detail about the self tapping bolt or the drilled hole, etc?

i just bought a set off a forum member, [MENTION=65505]Kotrin[/MENTION], and im not sure yet if it came with the original instructions ( i really doubt it did) and shrockworks is already closed for the night haha.

Got my engine skid yesterday but the bolts don't seem right. Below is the email I sent Shrockworks for clarifiction but I thought I'd ask here for help.

Attached is a pic of the parts. They don't fully match up with your instruction sheet. Perhaps this is because the kit is also for the FJ.
From your instructions:
1. Front needs 2-M8 and 2-M10. Which M8, anodized or not? B or C in my pic? Looks like the anodized, since you're noting the smaller washer. Are the M8's on the inside or outside? The M10 you specify uses the larger washers. That doesn't sound right.
2. Rear needs 2-M8 40mm. I don't have any.
3. Middle needs 2-M10. I used them in step 1, I have no more.
If you an refer to the letters in my pic to designate what goes where that would be helpful. Still, some bolts seem to be missing.

Will be interesting to see how they reply. I put the full set of skids on a couple months ago and had hardware issues (both missing and extra) but don't recall the specifics for the engine skid as I did the full set.
I found the aluminum spacers to be too long so replaced them with a stack of washers.
Most important, if you are not aware), you can't reuse your front skid plate (at least that was the case on my 2017 TRD Pro) with the engine skid. You have to use their skid that comes with their front bumper, maybe you can do it without the front bumper, not sure.

1. Attached is the instruction sheet showing the parts count. Confusing.
2. Aluminum spacers: why would they use aluminum - against steel?! The OEM skid had two ceramic looking spacers in the middle holes. I wonder if I still need those. I haven't fitted the SW yet so can't tell.
3. I'm still using the OEM bumper and the plastic fill plate.
