Oh yeah, it's December already...:shocked:

I'm sure they probably got slammed by the other GB mentioned elsewhere in this thread, and then there was Thanksgiving, and Christmas is coming so I guess I'll just wait for them to contact me...:wacko:
 
I look forward to a future Shrockworks group buy, I saw their sliders with tread plate on a 4runner the other day and seeing is believing. Only thing to make them better would be tread plate covering the whole slider.
 
Tried installing these this weekend but found that the copper-colored bolts didn't thread into the frame. They'd spin in for maybe a full rotation then stop as if the thread pitch was different and forcing it would most likely strip the threads.

I tried the larger silver ones but those are just too big and are meant for the stick nuts.

Has anyone else run into this? Either I received incorrect hardware or I'm being too timid and should just torque them in.

did you run a tap through the old threads to clean them up? That would be my first guess as to the problem you are having. I installed the shrockworks sliders on my 2010 FJ (all bolt in....no drilling/no stick nuts) and had to run a tap a couple times through the threads to get them cleaned out.

I'll give that a go. Shrockworks also just replied to me that there could be debris but seems so unlikely given how new the car is and has yet to see dirt. Perhaps there's factory paint/powdercoat that got in there. Anyhow, thanks for the advice!

My skids , front and rear bumpers , sliders and some other bling are on the
truck to my house should be here in a few hours !
New winch arriving tomorrow .
After the install, new lifted suspension .

Drove to Houston with my wife to pick up our front bumper. We installed it once we got back around 5pm. Ill post some pics when its daylight out, the one i took tonight doesnt give it any justice.

F.Y.I. the instructions seem to have been writen by someone from China who dosent speak much English, lol.

Received my sliders on Tuesday. I will wait until after winter to install. Boy that was a heavier box than I expected
