Side Marker Pigtail info needed

I'm having a hard time tracking down a part number, specification, type, whatever...

On the side marker lamp, front, I need the connector type or part number of the Female side of the connection. Probably used on a dozen Toyota and Lexus vehicles, I just don't know what all they are to cross reference.

This is OPPOSITE the piece the bulb goes in, the part normally attached to the wiring harness.

Once I get the proper designation for the connector, maybe I can find a pigtail.

What happened is the body shop that fixed my 4runner before I owned it took shortcuts, they cut off the wiring instead of taking off the connectors, and they didn't replace it. I find a light that doesn't work, grab a bulb, and surprise! Bulb is fine, wiring side plug-in is gone. (But it is there, all I have to do is soldier a new plug on.)

Many thanks! If all else fails I'll hit the junkyard, but if a few bucks makes it show up at my door, it saves me a lot of gas money and time driving to the yards.

This is what I needed for the turn signal connector, (Connector 2-way 2 pin turn light signal for toyota Lexus 90980-11019 with wire | eBay) but what is in the other threads pic does not look like mine looks more like a fog light connector to me...but I'm not sure.

I'm looking for the Side marker, up by the headlight. It does not blink, it's a parking lamp. Some people mod them to blink with the turn signal but it's not set up that way OEM.

The connectors are similarly designed but very different in size. It appears to be Poka-yoked with the orientation tab on one side.

The shop cut your wire harness rather than simply disconnecting it? What I'm saying is this seems like it should be their problem, not yours.

Oh, that shop. I don't know who they were. This was done before I bought the vehicle. They slapped it together to sell, looks good enough on the outside, but they didn't do anything extra, like fix wiring. I bought it "as is" so all this stuff is my problem.

The body shop I use would never pull that crap.

I have the bulb side, "bulb housing" I guess you would call it, it's all there, chopped wire, and bulbhousing, I just need to bridge the 2.

The connector housing you need is 90980-11149. That is just the housing. You have to buy the two repair wires separately to make a pigtail. I have to look that up somewhere else. I'll be back.

EDIT: the repair wires are 82998-12440. You need two, obviously.

So building a new pigtail will run you $15 in dealer parts. This is why people tend to prefer junkyarding for these things.

As for junkyarding, I may go that route, but with the hours I work, and living a long way from any good junkyards, $15 doesn't work out so bad given the gas and time I'd have to spend on something that isn't guaranteed I'll find.

I got my turn signal pigtail for $10 to my door, it worked out well on that, thought I'd try it on this one. Not finding this one so cheap though, it may end up being worth the trip to the yard if I can come up with a few other items I need.

Just be glad you didn't need a 17-pin module plug. But usually you can reuse all but one or two wires. To do all of them can get quite pricy.

Of all things, over 2 years later, I needed this exact same part again for the other side. Ended up referencing my own thread, and buying the repair terminals this time, about $20 from the local dealer. Expensive but saved me a lot of time searching.

This time I actually had the plug to work with, a deer ran out in front of me, and it's head hit smack center of my marker light. Weirdest thing it neatly popped out the light and yanked the connector off the wires cleanly at the terminal, leaving the wires looking like they were stripped with a tool. (Well they were, it pulled them out of the factory crimp.)

Outside a few scuffs and one tiny dent I think I can pop out, that is all the damage I had, so for $40 for a new marker light and repair terminals, I call that a lucky break for a deer hit.
