Sidewinder is fun. A group of us did sidewinder and broncos peak 2 weeks ago. Broncos peak tested the limits if my rig. Definitely want to sas at some point. I want to do pinyon. It will have to be a weekend if you want some company. I planned on pinyon, squeeze, fish creek, diablo drop off, to s2. Then possibly pick up oriflame canyon to rodriguez trail to banner grade 74.

Yea will have to plan a weekend. Don’t want to do the hard trails solo, no spotter.

Not to hijack the thread, but do you have rock sliders? (I'm assuming if you cleared bronco flats and sidewinder you probably do) I want to try the squeeze but the last thing I want to do it dent a door frame in.

OP: we were just out in Anza Borrego over the weekend and the weather was absolutely perfect, now is a great time to head out that way.

Yea it’s been gorgeous. Was out there a couple weekends ago.
I have sliders, don’t want to put a huge dent in the rig so want to do the more difficult trails with others so that there are spotters. I guess if I trash the bumpers then I’ll have no choice but to buy some armored bumpers[emoji6].

Yeah I have sliders. It's a pre-req when doing black diamond trails. I went with 2 jeeps and a caged 85 4runner. The 2 jeeps had fender flair damaged and I had rear driver side body damaged from my steel bumper when it hit a boulder rock on a steep angle going down. I thought I had enough clearance but guess not. Front ifs just didn't have enough articulation on some drop off and with 33's, didn't have enough clearance. Definitely used the sliders, just painted over the scratches. Thank goodness I had enough clearance and driving skills so under belly didn't hit.

Yeah, lets plan on a long day trip on pinyon etc. I'll start a thread when I figure out a weekend.
