Signal switch problem

I have a 2001 4R, when I put the left signal on it does not come on unless I shake the lever.
Do I have to replace the switcher or it can be repaired.
Also is this a difficult job

I've never looked into doing this on a 4Runner, but many times the stalks are mounted in a sort-of collar below the steering wheel--remove the wheel, disconnect the electrical connections, and swap out the broken unit. Usually you'll need a special puller to remove the wheel, but it's not a complicated procedure. You probably have an airbag--that's the item that requires the most caution--no shortcuts messing with those. Check the service manual section for 3rd Gens, or ask around in the 3rd Gen thread section--this section (General Discussions) may not be the best place to ask.

I got it out, did not have to remove steering, got to it from the side. I saw it listing at Toyota Parts Barn for $67.00
has anyone ordered from them and are they legit.

Is there a list of online oem parts supplier.

I would check the classifieds here on t4r or on Ebay. I had to replace this part a few months ago and got the part off of here for like 25 bucks shipped. Works great.
