No triple nipple, but no DOT/SAE markings on the lense either. I'm not sure if the police or shops doing safety inspections ever look at that kind of thing around you guys but it would be a real problem where I live (get tickets with demerits, fail inspections, etc). I would have gone with LHD e-code lights from Europe, as they also lack the nipples, but have the markings to be legal on our roads as well.
With that out of the way, VERY nice retrofit in the works!

well Ryhi, and Ian hit it right on the dot. no more adjustment nipples on the headlights, but also the headlights are a little more different than that. our us headlights have a separate bracket to mount the headlights to the vehicles and the whole lamp moves when you adjust the height. the japan spec lights adjust in side the lamp so the whole lamp stays in the same position just the reflector bowl moves.so they are different. i could have just walked into the toyota dealer and buy some us oem headlamps. but i wanted to keep the japan spec theme going on the truck.

That right there is worth the money to me. When i had more rake on the truck (towing set up) and adjusted the headlights, it was starting to look like a poorly repaired salvage title POS because of the gaps from the whole headlight moving to bring the light up to where it needed to be.

well the conversion either way would not be dot or sae legal. i did try to source the Euro headlamps but they are ana additional 70 each and the blokes in the UK wouldnt ship to the US. so i said F it.

Thanks Brandon! I'm gonna need to hit you up after all the dust settles for some front and rear links I'm gonna drop the 4runner down so its easier for the wife to get in and out of the 4runner so maybe ill get some nicer handling back out of the rig.

The fender mirror is not going to help you at all. You can buy the passenger side fender mirror on ebay for $30 or so. I have this installed and really helpful when you are pulling out of a narrow parking lot. It is originally meant to show whats next to the front passenger side tire.
You should also need the spare tire carrier, the big"off road" sticker going on the doors. The spoiler looks great! Use the Aluminum JAOS roof rack

well I'm down just figure out when everyone is free.
i was Bored last night so i decided to add some color to my boring FJ crusier transfer case shift knob.
heres how it looks originally.
after some color.

the fender Mirror is the original surf mirror. the only reason it doesnt help is because this is a lhd truck nor rhd. i had the ebay mirror before it was a pos.
the same way you normally engage it. this only works on j shifter 4wd's not the electric 4wd on the limited's

the prices include shipping actually. the only thing that hit me hard is the headlight assemblys themselves as they shipped from japan directly as you can see.

In any case, I'm sure they're an awesome addition to your awesome rig. I wouldn't mind spending a fortune for the things i'd love to have for my 4runner myself. Good stuff, man!

yup i have been waiting over a month to get a set of these after the first set failed to be delivered to me with out any damage. i was pretty upset. with a baby on the way i told my self everything i do from here on out to the truck i will do right and not have to redo them over and over.wasting money on redoing stuff is not in my book.i wanted to keep the japan surf theme going.
