SIKHILUXSURF's Build thread

weak sauce! , why they gotta do you dirty like that?? those things aren't cheap either, you would think they would work with you a little more to get a working solution

just a few updates. rear shocks finally on. not to happy with icon. seems like their trend is poor customer service. 3-4 tries to build a set of rear shocks you have built for some one else before and someone over there doesnt follow build directions either. And i am not the only one with the issue. Yeah thats right I'm putting them on Blast. So all you Icon Fan boys can suck a fat one. there will probaby be off and forsale by the end of the year or sooner. i would have just got rid of the setup but im not rich and cant afford to front 2.5k for another suspension setup while im sitting on this one.

new exhaust setup is on as well. i took a Apexi World Sport II mufler and had the tip cut off and rewelded to the rear. no more rattling muffler thank god magnaflow sucks ass.

Looks just like a rig I saw last Friday! Oh wait, it is! Sup Tony !

:D

Why don't you just valve the shocks yourself (assuming they aren't correct still)? I understand they have shitty service and should of sent you proper valving, but it'd be cheaper and you wouldn't lose any money or waste time if you just spent a few days tuning. Hell even did one or two revalves I bet you could get it damn close or ask them for their valving specs and say you're gonna do it yourself. Good luck and clean looking rig :D

why should I? i paid to have my shocks built. i didnt pay so that i could do them myself they are brand newly built shocks.they were beyond unhelpful and rude.the issues have been corrected but im not going to support a company that doesnt support their customers.

fun but im never doing this again. almost there. i couldn't get it wrapped in carbon in time for Toyotafest so this will have to do until after the show.

Love those wheels!

Excuse my ignorance, but what makes the steering wheel desirable? I am sure it's something special considering you're running it, I am just not aware.

Looks sweet though!

I'm really in love with the carbon fiber wrap, I don't think I've ever seen it before and it looks great. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost you? And it is just a roll of adhesive stuff? (If so, how do you like that so far?)

Thanks Bud. the wheel setup is nothing to special it is just a quick release setup and more of a theft deterent. i love that whell in my old show car. so when i swapped out i decided to purchase the same wheel i had in the show car.

the over wrap was done by my work. i spend about 6-700 including shipping back to our manufacture to have it done. the finish is all real carbon fiber. i had the 3m stuff before but it just wasnt doing it for me.

SIXHILUXSURF how do you like your Apexi exhaust? I am thinking of getting rid of my magnaflow soon.

i like my apexi alot. i have had apexi can on most of my cars with no issues. keep in mind they cost more since they are not a aluminum muffler and a stainless steel construction with formed ends and such. the build quality is why it cost more as well. i had my ws muffler tip cut off to maintain the under vehicle location but any muffler shop can handle that job. it is just if you want to reuse the nice tip is where the problem will be.
