Similar to Nitto Grappler in 275 please?

Hi folks.
After reseraching tires for my pourpose (in this order: highway, soft rutted sand, Ice & snow, light/ easy off-road trails), I decided that Nitto Terra Grappler G2 P-metric were THE ones.

My issue is I’m not sure if I’m ready to commit to the cutting, MPG loss & odo & speedo hit of 285’s just yet. Thinking of wadding in gently w/ 275’s first.

I’m planning of mounting the new rubber on FN Six shooters in 17/8”.

My problem is those Nittos don’t come in 275’s. Can anyone recomend smilar tires in 275 P-metric please?

Thanks 2016. The BFG KOS are great tires. My challenge w/ them is those big knobby aggressive shoulders looks great and a great off road but are counter-productive aired down in soft sand. They tend to dig in vs float on top. Further, most of the KOS seem to be E rated which are heavier then I need and the thick stiff side-wall is not great when aired down in soft sand.

Thanks Jetboy. The shorter 65 sidewall ratio is a bit of a concern. While airing down to float on top of soft sand, a taller ratio (e.g 70) is generally better.
Any other tires available in the 275/70/17 size that would be comparable to Nitto Terra Grapplers?

most 275s are E rated so the difference is moot. I went form 275 e rated to 285 C rated and my MPG were virtually the same

Thanks everyone. We can always count on 1engineer to be the voice of logic & reason. And yes I do want bigger bad ass tires. I'm looking into the coopers as they do come in that size. I still may wind up w/ the bigger badass 285 Nittos.

Further, I was on some vey soft sand this past weekend w/ the tires that were on when I bought it. OEM size but cheap after market off brand ATs. Let me tell you those no name 265s did not inspire confidence and slid and spun a good bit aired down to 18 PSI.

Just go 285 with Nitto Terra. There is no need to test waters with 275. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

OP: Why aren't you interested in those p rated Nittos in the stock size? They seem to fit most of the needs and wants stated in your original post. They have a higher speed and load rating than the oem' s as well: 115T vs. 113S.

I do feel like a need a little bigger foot print and a little more hight would be appreciated. Admittedly, w/ the 2 1/2” lift, the stock size do look undersized.
Like <<<< suggested, I’ll prolly just go w/ the 285 Nittos. I was just getting a small case of cold feet. So many have done it and seem to be glad they did, I feel fairly safe that I’ll be pleased.

If you don't mind E rated, you can get the Cooper ST Maxx in a 275/70/17.

Yes given the choice between 275 E & 285 C.... Or between the weight hit & stiff side walls (not optimal aired down on sand) of a 275 E I'd go w/ the height aired down width of a C rated 285.
I just keep Coming back to the Nittos.
