Simple interior fixes

My rear view mirror is loose (jiggles around), it's loose where the arm goes into the overhead panel with the lights and sunglasses holder. Anyone have a DIY for taking that apart so I can get to whatever is back there to tighten it up?

Also, loose A/C vents. My vents in the center of the dash just point up, if I point them down they just flop back into the up position. Anyone ever come up with a fix for floppy vents?

For the mirror, there's an ancient thread buried in lore that has the DIY you are looking for and a picture or two. Try loose rear view mirror or something like that.

In the mean time, pop out the map light lens with a small screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape so you don't scratch it. There is one bolt that holds the map light assembly to the roof.

There are two crush sleeves that hold the mirror from wiggling.
