Single Deep Cycle install, another battery thread!!

I have one that's similar to that, though I don't think they locked it. I don't think voltage cause It read 12.7 volts and on brand new deep cell battery. I'm not sure if it tells me if it cut off due to voltage that would be good

if you have the locking kind, is the plug twisted into the correct position so the locking nubs are engaged?

Ok so apparently sometime last night or yesterday the fridge tuned off but I do not believe it was voltage turn off instead the 12v plug is loose. Any recommendations on perhaps a better 12v female? Or maybe Anderson poles?

What gauge of wire is running from the fuse panel to the fridge outlet plug?

What gauge of wire is running from the fuse panel to the fridge outlet plug? I bet that is part of it.
Bottom one

Hum, id suspect the ground connection then...You can show good voltage and a poor ground. Where is the ground? Also, did you cool it down from hot? THe amp draw may have just been too much overnight, best practice is to cool it down on 110v and then plug in to the vehicle to maintain. Made that mistake myself when I first got it.

what fridge are you using? For my Dometic the low setting (10.1V) is way too low for a single battery, you would need an isolated deep cycle house battery to use the low setting. I leave mine on high (11.8V), and i switch to medium occasionally for specific situations but i don't like it being able to cycle that much day to day when i don't need it to.

I would double check what the low setting voltage is for your fridge before you get stranded somewhere with a flat battery

Cooled it on eco all day worked great drove to work drove to buddy's drove to eat and then home where it set. Im really leaning towards unlocked plug in that was moved around the right way as the cause. I have it locked now and we are going camping with some slight Wheeling so I will continue to monitor it

It's a deep cycle dual battery Northstar rebrand as XS

I think it's the other way around for Indel B fridge I'll re check.

I have 100% faith in the wiring, if anything I would be concerned with the cheap fuses. Here's the ground

The "Low" settings for an indel B fridge is 9.6V, that is way too low for a starting battery

The "Med" setting is 10.1V and the "High" setting is 11.1V. You should use the "High" setting, its still a little low for a starting battery but its probably enough.

i doubt the connection is the fuses, if your plug moves and doesn't fit snugly that might be the issue

Ok I had it backwards! Yeah I think that's the issue.

Not so fast. Low should let the fridge stay on longer, draining you to 9v...yours cut off overnight but showed higher voltage...You would have issues starting it the next day. Your fridge may perceive lower voltage than actual if your ground wire is not solid, causing it to shut of way early, but luckily preserving the battery.

But whenever I wiggled the plug it powered right back up

I am doing this exact same project. What I ended up doing was hardwiring the cord to the fuse block. I will never run the risk of the plug coming out... If you wiggle the plug and it kicks back on I would think that it was just the connection at the socket. The cords are so cheap for these fridges that if you need one... just call the manufacturer and order a second one if you plan on swapping between vehicles. $20-30 bucks tops.
