Here's the difference, I had the hood scoop put on for FREE because the original was damaged in an accident. I didn't purchase a vehicle based on an aggressive looking scoop. I guess it goes with the stylish spoiler!:artist:

As far as my choice in a Sport Edition... well, that's easy. Lets use a little logic and think about this... What are the differences between an Sport and Limited? Seems to me that the Sport has its own special wheel design (which I like much better than the Limited wheels, which are also available on the SR5), the Sport hood, and the silver bumper accents. Add it all up and I think the Sport is the nicest looking 4Runner. Obviously the majority of people here agree with me because most of us have Sport Editions.
BTW, notice that I said that the wheel design was my main reason... the aggressive looking hood scoop was just a bonus, as were the standard XREAS and larger brakes.
Hey, I know where you can get a set of replica Sport Edition wheels for a really good price. Let me know if you're interested. Also, I've been thinking about debadging the side doors of my 4Runner. Would you be interested in my Sport Edition badges?

I have no problem admitting anything, even when I'm wrong, not like you. I'll be the first to say I like the Sport hood better then the plain one, that's why I put one on.
If I wanted a Sport model I would have one. I wanted the Limited because of the other options that were only available on that model.
You have no idea what interests me so please keep you sarcastic remarks to yourself!

Yeah, I know. I was just in agreement with hitman about how the wheels influenced my decision more than the hood scoop.
I'm just the opposite of you; I wanted the wheels more than the goodies, you wanted the goodies more than the wheels. Hence my decision to go w/ the SE. I can always add Nav, Leather, etc. later just like you can add SE wheels if you want.

well i took the ski racks off and the noise stopped but thats not the noise i was concerned with i feel that there is a noise coming from the front windshield any ideas
o yeah i put my cool looking ski racks back on because all this talk about skiing made me go out and borrow ski's now i plan to go
skiing in early jan up in the catskills ny this might be my second hobby

At first I felt the wheels on the Limited were too common, being on the SR5 and almost all 4Runners, but after having them for a short period they grew on me and now I like them better, They have a more classic mag look (but modern). I just wish they weren't so common. I also thought off having them polished and anodized transparent.

So they are the same design as the SR5? I thought they would've been slightly different because the Limited comes with 17" wheels while the SR5 is 16" (not talking about the basic basic 15" wheels that come w/ the SR5) I've never really looked that hard but the spokes on the Limited look thicker, maybe just cuz they're bigger.Koz said:

Unfortunately, yes. My gf is a beginner so those triple play cards help a lot. Cheap and close. That's about the only good thing about Mtn Creek. You can pick up those cards at any Sports Authority. I think of it as paying $20 each time I go b/c I would NEVER pay $50+ for that dinky mountain.
