SS 1.2 I don't have the tools to do the cutting and grinding and pounding, can't I just buy longer bolts and be done??? it looks to me like the difference is less than a half inch. anyone?

This thread is now about what the OP meant in his original post.

My money is on installed diff drop now skid plate wont fit.

Honestly I dont get the diff drop. Seems like its only so old cv boots dont leak, just replace boots if they leak.

(I did buy the drop when I ordered my lift but choose to wait and watch CV, never even opened package)

I have newer Cv and I installed OME coils and didnt use the drop. Ive put car through the limits and I dont have any problems. every tough road in death valley didnt stop me!

even still the old boots break, for me its just that little extra bit that it lowers it, the farther down the cv is the more likely it is to break, so its just a little less of an angle.

I was able to use all stock bolts. I didnt cut or hammer. I just pushes the plate down about an inch so you loose a little clearance.
