Skid plate overhaul

I spotted some rust on my skid plates, so I went ahead with complete removal and restoration. Front plates are easy but that fuel tank one is PITA. It is bulky and bolt by drive shaft was cross treaded from the factory and near impossible to remove. Once removed I sanded and scuffed plates before spraying with 3 coats of bed liner. There are no pics though.

My factory skid plates were too rusted out to be worth saving.

Im with you on the rust. I found one spot about the size of a piece of corn so i sanded it down and the sprayed the entire gas tank skid with the rubber coating. looks like new.
