thanks guys. audi is definately a fun car and turns heads. love having the runner and being a bit more low key on the freeway.

Got a few more projects done. Audio is offically all done (for now). got the infinity separates and coaxes in. Only have pics of the fronts as it was dark when i got the rear done. found out both front windows have been broken out at one point or another. door panels will come back off and will do dynamat and new vapor barriers eventually. Will snap some pics of the sub box once i get the false cover done.

and picked these up today off of craiglst for 150. guy had them on a tundra, and attempted to polish them himself. looks like things didnt go too well and he was using the wrong stuff. should hammer these out tomorrow after work and maybe get them mounted on saturday. Will hold me over till i get what i really want.

Looks great! The clear corners look good, and it looks way better w/o the running boards. I love that audi by the way. I see you removed the chrome fender flares. I ended up painting mine, but now Im thinking it would just look better to take them off. How did you remove them?

they come off with just a bunch of misc screws in the wheel well. however, looks like i'm going to need to paint mine black and put them back on now. :ybrick:

got the wheels swapped over this morning and i was right on the wheel math and tires poke out a bit. figure those stockers will help with some more coverage so washington's finest keeps their ticket books in their pockets. want to put a set of early sr5 flares on, but just need to find a full set.

It took me forever to track down the sr5 flares i have now...found three at a junkyard then the last one from a guy parting one out....they are highly sought after though. Good Luck, i like all your progess, looks good.

WOw nice audi, and you got a crazy deal on those rims for the 4runner .

Can you give us some more details about the carbon stuff? How do you use / apply it?

Edit: just saw some vids on you tube of the carbon vinyl, but the stuff you used looks more like real carbon fiber compared to others.

sorry took so long. been super busy. The carbon film just needs a heat gun to make it bond properly, and gotta work slow to make sure it stretches just where you need it to. stretch too far, and the weave pattern gets screwed up. Theres a few videos on youtube on how to wrap pieces.

UPDATE TIME!!!!!

Got a lot of stuff done in the past few weeks and more is to come. Finally sold my Impul wheels off of my VW Caddy, so the following parts were ordered on friday: Bushwackers, daystar 2.5" (will do better lift and shocks later once i can figure out what i really want to go with), toytec diff drop, toytec panhard drop, black rear seat cover to match the recaros that you can see below.

Having a hard time finding a grey/blue cargo cover, so built one out of threaded rod, heatshrink and a roll of black vinyl for now jsut to cover up some stuff.

Rest of the audio is all done. just need to build a grill/trim panel for the sub box now.

Deckplate and silencer mods done. Just need to order up an airfilter.

Got my recaros in with the Wedge Engineering brackets

with the offset of the wheels, plasti-dipped the flares and put them back on for some extra coverage just for now. WA officers like to follow the laws. Also found a set of tube steps off of craigslist for 50 bucks. kind of torn on them, but with me only being 5'6" and the recaros not the easiest to get into, they do help. Might build a set of sliders with an integrated step later.

Nice build dude, love the placement of the amp... i thought bout doing that a while back and need to stop being lazy and do it already. Also like the sub box, nice and clean install as well as the seats. Ive been debating on getting some racing seats in my 4runner.

the subs are old school 8w6's.

and amp placement was a bit of a challenge, but not too hard. as small sledge helped to make additional space for it.

Very, very nice audio work. Makes me just a little envious.

I would love to do that to my truck, but thanks to a glock .40 with a ported barrel and no earplugs, I now have a constant ringing in my ears 24/7 so a nice sound system does me more harm than good.

Anyway... That's a sweet system. I love infinity stuff. I've got an old school dark green Kappa 10 in my Supra. With the tuned box/port, that sub is a beast. People mistake it for 2 12's all the time.

That system probably sounds amazing.

Edit: Also, favorited the link for the carbon fiber. I think that looks great on the B-Pillars.

Thanks guys. was going to have the rear seat recovered in matching recaro fabric, but didnt want to spend the 5-600 to have it done. ordered a black seat cover for the rear that should be here in a week or so. Then going to dye the fabric on the doors like another member has done to help tie it all in better.
