Slaughterhouse run (Denver) on Sunday

I've got a friend to visit up near Bailey and figured Sunday we could have a fun run up at Slaughterhouse since it's close to Denver,easy on stock trucks and can be completed in about 2 hours.

I'd like to see a few 4th gens actually join us and finally meet some of the local guys.

I'm thinking we could meet up in Conifer @10am or at the top of Crow Hill @10:30

The 4Runner community doesn't look to hot in the front range area. Quite surprising.

The VW/Audi community is HUGE out here though!

Yeah,sorry for the late notice but I ended up BBQing with a friend and made a quick run to see if there was snow (not anywhere) and played a little but my GF got bored quick so I may try next weekend.

I did get some pics which I'll post shortly.

From what I've noticed, there are more Toyota SUVs and Trucks than Audis/VWs but majority of them rarely go off-road.

I think there are quite a few of us here in Denver, the Front Range and in Colorado.

Many of us don't just go four wheeling for fun...

We take the off-roads, forest service and pure 4 x 4 roads to get to places remote where there are mountains to climb and trailheads to access.

And we tend to go-it as a solo vehicle. :

Yes, the place is FULL of Toyota trucks and SUVs, hence my confusion at the lack of a community.

The only car more prevalent is Subaru.

I got up up there early so I decided to just make a quick run by myself (and GF) before I headed over to my friend's house before noon. I didn't do the loop all the way,we went about a 3rd of the way and parked and had brunch and then headed out but we did encounter a group of about 5 newer Wranglers and another group that was parked at the start with Jeep and a few FJs.

I'd like to go with a group from here since I've never done a T4R.org run and this trail is friendly to stock vehicles so it's good for noobs and people that don't want to hurt their nice trucks.

I'm also planning on a few new trails this year.
