SLEE bracket for driver side air compressor install

So I test fitted the bracket and noticed flex hoses rubbing against the side of the bracket which do happen to be on the sharp side. Has anyone had any issues with the bracket slowly eating at these hoses with regular vibrations? Or have people just relocated/adjusted these hoses to not run against it? Just wanted to see what people have done. Not sure if it’s different with models 2019 and below. I know a few things have moved a slight bit in 2020+ within the engine bay.

Mmm, I think you would be asking for trouble with the contact, and it seems like a lot of work to relocate hoses.

I had a Rago mount for 2 years in my 2019 and didn't have that problem (great fit and I liked that it was aluminum). I replaced that this summer with a PowerTray and it doesn't have that problem either (added a Switch Pros).

Can you send it back? Easiest to go with a different brand IMO.

Gonna contact SLEE about it. Sad, though. I’ve read nothing good stuff about the SLEE mount on this forum. I’m surprised it wasn’t mentioned. You actually have to push those hoses aside to get the mount in place so the hoses are sitting fairly firmly against the edge of the bracket once let go.

On the positive side their relay box relocation bracket worked perfectly to regain the space 2019 and below models have in the same area of the engine bay

I have an ARB comp installed there and once you get it in there my main issues is the dam thing gets very very hot when airing up.
Understanding that the comp itself is going to generate a lot of heat when active I think the basic location of the bracket itself puts the unit in a place that's already kicking out a lot of engine heat, especially after hitting the trail.

Just wanted to give you a heads up that once you get it in there, I would suggest an ARB remote hose coupling kit like this:

My arb orange hose overheated and burst due to the heat when it was connected directly to the comp. Since relocating the hose output (with a 3' braided cable to the new hose coupling) I've had no issues.

Really? The air comp itself and even the metal braided hose I have running off it to the remote coupling get insanely hot.
I was thinking it had to do with the friction from the air comp as it generates pressure, combined with the fact that it's sitting right on top of the engine when mounted in that spot.
Even after cleaning out the little filters and everything it still generates a ton of heat.
Maybe climate is also a factor since we're wheeling in the desert 90% of the time and pretty much everything is cookin on the vehicle.

I'm sure climate matters. I live in Seattle and most of where I go is WA/OR/ID/MT/BC/AB. So, 80 is hot. And it's rarely that hot in the mountains.

I still run stock wheels/tires too, so air ups don't take too long. I'm sure if I ran bigger tires, more heat.

funny I came across this thread. I had a slee bracket on my workbench that I hadn't installed yet. I went to do a test fit and ya you are right, in my 2012 there is an uncomfortable amount of movement of the hoses that needs to happen to fit this bracket. the only way it fits somewhat comfortably is to run the flex hose under the left side of the bracket, where it rests on a sharp edge.

I too have read many good reviews about slee but I can't put that in my truck as is. will be getting a rago now if I can't find a way to nicely move those hoses out of the way...
