WOW, that is all I have to say. I am now curious if I qualify as a Serious off roader since I go usually twice a month, but dont do serious trails by some standards( darn jeepers/ rock crawlers). I do own a Hi-Lift, have not used it yet with this truck. I plan on making a mount on my new swing away bumper I am making. Hmm Bling Bling since my spare is a matching Rim? The mounts look good and I am glad you have not had any rattling or Resonating through the roof.
Hi-lifts are a lot like Hand guns if not used and cared for properly they are dangerous, can create serious injury and or death. That being said take the time to learn about any mod or tool you take on the trail with you and be aware of your surroundings and practice safety at all times. Use the right tool for the job, bottle jack when practicle a Hi-lift in other situations, and a high cap 9 if you can't hit what you are aiming at. A little back ground used to teach vehicle recovery in the Army and avid shooter. Both unpopular in different circles.
As far as a comment made earlier about having a winch if you wheel alone? I think if you listen to any off-road instructor or enjoy the recreation much at all, you will find most will strongly advise against ever off-roading by yourself.
