A roll of Reflectix from HD, Lowes or Amazon can do wonders.

Instead of cardboard, maybe use the plastic material they use for lawn signs for backing, lightweight and holds up well.

Definitely. If I were to do it again I would use something a bit more durable. Had them for a couple years now and haven't had the need to remake them yet.

If you pulled the seat bottoms out you can extend the sleeping surface another 6 inches or so for more room.
