slick rock anyone?

ill be heading up to slick rock near lake alpine, CA this weekend for my first time. super stoked to try this trail. ive heard alot about it. gonna be there sunday. let me know if anyone lives or is gonna be in the area, id love to hook up and do the trail together.

There is probably a lot of snow on the trail this time of year, and Highway 4 is closed for the winter right after the Bear Valley ski resort so you won't be able to enter or exit on the north end the trail. If this is your first time I would strongly recommend waiting until the summer. Do you have rocker protection on your truck?

I don't know why I never even thought of there being snow, shit I'm from canada, I was born in it. Guess I got too caught up in the YouTube videos. Well it's only half an hour from where we camp. Guess I'll find something else to drive on..

It's a really fun trail, but agree doing it alone and if there is snow would be pretty sketchy. There is lots of other little trails up there that you could try, but the snow might be too much right now.

I have running boards? I dont care if they get thrashed.. But the Wife needs it.

You guys without sliders who are going to try that trail are crazy. Look at those rocks.... You need sliders.

Btw OP one hard hit on a rock and you can cause thousands dollars in body damage.

The body floor will be bent up into the door, bending the door as well.

O. I'm not worried about bending it up. I dust don't want any body damage. I would get sdliders. But don't do much crawling to warrant having them.

i ran a huge majority of that trail with no lift and 31's its all about the driver. The only damage that occured was a scratched up skid plate. But thats what they are for!
