Sliding Cargo Tray

Depending if you have a use for it. I have 3rd row seat, so I can't get it, and now I have an ARB fridge, I think the sliding tray would be a great platform to have the fridge mounted.
Unless you are going with ARB Outback Solution's Drawers (then skip the tray)
IMO, I still think the neatest solution is ARB Outback Solution's Drawers. They are pricy tho!

Those are slick however that's completely different than a sliding tray. It all depends on what function you are looking to achieve.

You banged me up side the head with these late last night. I did a lot of searching and it looks like Fred's is the only dealer anymore. How long have you had yours, how is it holding up, and would it be worth more like $500 (now $390 + shipping)? I'm debating between the red oak or of the poly one. I also noticed Beyond Cargo's website is dead and I don't know if they are even still in business, or if Fred's bought up what they had and once they're gone they're gone.

I hope this isn't seen as a thread-jack, but I have a quick question about the sliding cargo tray. I have one, as well as the OEM all-weather mats and tray cover. The cargo tray cover has never fit right--it pretty much just sits on top of the tray, rather than flush against it. Does anyone else have this same problem? Is there a trick that I'm missing? Happy to post pictures if that's helpful.
PS: I do like the tray quite a bit and it's come in handy when moving heavy tools, etc.

Same here. I just stretch it out around the tray corners once in a while. I might let it sit out in the sun this summer and see if that does anything to soften it up and improve the fit.

I got mine about a month ago. It's holding up just fine. It's really solid and has a slick release pin to lock/unlock the slider. I'm sure the rollers aren't as nice as stock or in the real expensive models but it hasn't broken or failed on me at all. I extended it out fully and sat on it and it held me just fine. I weigh 160. You can always attach more straps to it to make it more secure.
It's completely worth it to me. I use it almost every day.
It seems as if they are just selling them for the guy who made them- or they could have bought up his inventory. Not sure.
I got the poly. I put my husky cover on top of it. Underneath I have storage for cables, tow chains, etc....It's pretty solid. It's just strapped in to your existing rings on the vehicle. No modification required!
Some other set ups will cost you 3x as much and you will have to make modifications and those aren't easy to remove if you want to. I researched for quite a long time and couldn't find anything comparable for the money.
The OEM one does not exist outside of a vehicle they randomly install one into. In addition, Toyota people have no idea what they are talking about.
I had them order what I thought was the sliding cargo tray. It arrived and they said it will take about 30 minutes to install. I thought it seemed pretty quick. I INSISTED that I take a look at the part to be sure. Sure enough it was a rear cargo ORGANIZER. It then took them 10 minutes to realize what I was trying to tell them. UGH!

Thanks. I got off the phone with Fred's about an hour ago. He is currently the sole distributor for Beyond Cargo, but they are still in business. Gotta convince wifey now. 1 more question. Is the polythylene deck an all one piece molded unit, or is it bolted together?

The decking is one piece. It is then bolted to the metal "drawer" slide underneath. It's very sturdy. The whole thing weighs about 80 pounds or more. The thickness of the actual "deck floor" is 1"- solid, not hollow. You could take a hammer to it and not break through or crack it.

By the way, your shipping should be less than mine as you are much closer to them.

Yes I did and thanks for posting them. If I get it mine will be more than yours. They've already got them at $399 + shipping, and he swagged me $120 on that. Maybe less if I get a business to receive it. We'll see. Wife was neither yea or nay tonight when we discussed it. I may have to wear her down. Lol.

I'm in Search & Rescue and haul lots of gear up - I like to pull it out as I gear up for a mission to access my heavy gear bags. nice for days at the gun range too - ammo cans, etc get heavy and it just makes it easier to get to the small, heavy boxes.
