Slight shake/jerkiness in wheel, and squeaking at full lock low speed.

Am noticing a slight shaking in the steering wheel and some noticeable squeaking from the steering or power steering at full lock or close to it when turning from a stop at full lock, or leaving tight parking spaces etc. I checked the power steering fluid and it seemed ok, so could this be a pump issue that will eventually get worse or something else. The noise is not loud but is noticeable and the wheel just feels weird, shakey or maybe a little jerky when turning at or close to full lock at an almost crawl leaving a driveway or etc.. Thanks for any help.

I would go for the belt tension. Did you try to tight it a bit?
If you've never done this before, you need to know you will need a little bit of patience...:toilet3:

just a tip, dont pull and hold the wheel at full lock, its bad for it. idk the answer for your question

Yeah, I am aware of the wear and tear and pressure on seals, and etc.. when at full lock. I do not make a habit out of being at full lock on a regular basis or for any length of time. I was refering to pulling from a tight parking space, or leaving a driveway, etc. when you need to be at or close to full lock for a second or two. I will look into the tensioner for the belt. Like I said, it doesn't do it all the time, and is only noticeable here and there under the conditions posted.

Old post but I am experiencing the same issue. Did you ever find out the cause of this?

I am too. Although I think the belt is the issue because I've been having slipping issues as well. I'll have to investigate.
