It would be nice to know what all was included in your tune-up. I presume -- plugs, cap and rotor. Make sure the base time is set properly. You may also need to clean the throttle body with a TB approved cleaner ( NOT Carb Cleaner ). Also make sure the AFM is properly adjusted and is lubed. You may also have a vacuum leak ( or leaks ). Check around all hose fittings and intake ducting. If there are leaks, that's air that is not being metered but still entering the engine to be burned.

could be the infamous head gasket rearing its ugly head too
mmm how familiar mine (an 86 efi t4r) is not idling at all but I narrowed it down to bad compression on my numbers 1 and 4 cylinders. but as I just did the head gasket last week I'm thinking the worst, PIston rings, if any of you out there have an alternate idea please inform me cuz I don't want to pull the whole engine out.
I bought a 87 efi back in november. Had simular problems that came up now and then.. wasn't very consistant so it was hard to figure out. I spent ages reading about different issues. Even took it to a mechanic but it didn't play up while there.
I started with replacing the spark plugs. I bought new igition leads and distributor cap.
When I was installing the new leads a plug on the old lead came off the carbon firbe lead.. so I had one dodgy lead which was causing a miss fire.
Soon as I put in a new set of leads the problem of idling and miss firing went completely away and has been running fine for over a month or so now.
The lead visibly looked fine until it broke off from the plug. I haven't installed the new cap yet, still running fine.
So maybe just replace some of the cheaper parts and cross your fingers
