Slow starting

When I turn the key on my 2000 V6 it has to turn over quite a few times before it ever starts. I guess it could be the starter but I was wondering if there was anything else I should look for.

My 2001 4Runner tends to do the same thing when it is cold out. I asked a friend of mine and he said that I need a new battery with more cold cranking amps. Hope this helps.

It's pretty normal for these engines to crank for 2 - 3 seconds before firing.
