small chip in brake pad

Hi everyone,

This is a question reguardings our subaru, I know this is a toyota forum, but you guys are more family then they are :D.

Ordered brake pads and rotors for a shop to install from subaru online parts dealer, got a great deal, but of course it came smashed and one of the pads has a small chip in it. Vendor mentioned they don't think I would have a problem installing it but I could exchange if I wish. So I told them I would exchange. Never heard back from its been a few days.

I don't really have the time, Do you think I should slap them on, or just open a paypal dispute and go to local dealer and get a new set?

lesson learned, I think I'm done with online vendors, or maybe this one they suck. I'll out them on subaru forums if they don't reply.

Thanks.

I'd tap around the rest of the pad material and see if there are any other spots prone to chipping or flaking.

If not, I'd still use them. It doesn't look that bad if it holds up.

returned it, they were nice about it, just took ****ing forever. i think they just replaced that one pad, and probably stuck it in another box.

Its probably totally fine if you did use it... but my brain would know its there, and my OCD would kick it occasionally bother me haha.
