Small local shops doing skids?

Looking for some beefier protection under the 4runner. Anyone know any local shops / small businesses that make them for a decent price? Everything I see seems steep for some steel. Thanks

Since I see you're in LA, a VERY good and reputable shop is SMP Fabrication in Sun Valley, CA. They do very good work with any type of fabrication. Haven't been there personally, but they have done great work on several of my friends trucks.

What gen do you have? A (good) fab shop will probably be more expensive than the ones already available online, especially if you wait for Black Friday deals to come around. The cost of labor and metal will quickly add up for a shop that has to figure out all the fitment measurements from scratch.

5th Gen. That's very true about the small shops. I always try and give local shops my business but with trying to buy a house right now, I want good quality but have to watch the price.

For any custom fab, including engine work and other stuff, I recommend Forster Fab. I know the owner. Honest person.
