Smaller tire sized brands I should know

so i had to replace 2 of my rear tires recently, i went to a used tire shop that charged 35 a tire. i bought 2 tires and they put on. both were 265/70/r16 but i noticed one tire was smaller than the rest. it was the brand continental and the other one was a general grabber. im really anal about this, so for my next check i wanted to grab some "new" tires . however i was wanting to know what tire brands out there or models i should stay away from that are not the 265/70/r16 i am use to (such as michelins LMS or Wranglers R/TS) instead of the 265/70/r16 of the smaller Continetal brand.

yea but i dont want to buy a set of tires and then have them not regular size . even if i bought 265/70/16's i want them the size they are normally at . with my continental tires, i noticed their 265/70/16 were smaller than my other 265/70/r16

Some tires are larger than others even though they are the same size. Most MTs are larger.

They might have diff carriers. I bet if you buy one continental 265/70/16 from Sears, the continental 265/70/16 from Discount Tire will be smaller or taller than the other one.

are u mixing tire brands? i mean ur using 2 different tire brands at the same time ?
