Well.... the long story short is it's a close fit. However not close enough for my liking. I contemplated for at least half an hour and decided I will wait for Safari Snorkels to make one for the 5th Gen 4Runner. I guess it will be a patience game:fishing:
The internal plumbing side of the snorkel is a perfect fit. The ONLY way to get the snorkel to mount is to mount it lower on the fender line, which means two things. 1) Highly prone to trail damage as it sticks out so far 2) The Air Ram would be sticking out so far for the A-pillar it would look ridiculous. The gaps would bother me as well. Theoretically speaking it can be done.... Just not on my truck.
ARB's truck was there and I made a big fuss about them trying it on theirs... but it didn't get very far. It was worth a try in my opinion.
