Will this snorkel fit on my 22re? this is what it says...

'89-'97 Hilux it says, I'm guessing that's designed for the second gen 4Runner body style.

It also specifically says 22R and not 22RE.
Go ahead and buy it and if it doesn't fit you can give it to me for Christmas !

I think it could work for a 22re as long as it fits a 1st gen 4runner and mounts on the driver's side.

I was thinking about buying one too but the "import duties, taxes and charges are not included" keep me from pushing the buy now button, even though it says free shipping.

Are you sure it will fit? I noticed how it's on the left side too that's why I decided to ask the experts here, but I see that it says it fits the 84-88 years :/ I want one of these real bad!

IF and when I install a snorkel (not for river crossing but to keep intake farther from So Cal desert dust), I would not want the ducting any longer so I would swap battery and intake.

IF anyone knows of a snorkel that would fit well on the right side of first-gen 22RE, please share info.

No, I'm not sure it will fit. What I mean to say is that if the plastic pipe that runs from the fender up to the roof fits, on the driver's side, like a Safari or close, it would not take much to adapt it from the inside of the fender to the intake box.

Like I said I wanted to buy one but if the import duties and all that are high, I might as well buy a Safari snorkel.

I'm sorry, you asked for opinions from the experts and I'm clearly not one. I'm just guessing but, if by next year I don't end up too broke I might as well buy one just to see if it works. My two sons really want to see a snorkel in our 4runner, too.

You don't need to apologize to me man, I appreciate your input! You do make sense, but I honestly don't want to fab up the inside for it to work, I want it as clean looking as possible. I guess I'll have to keep searching til I find the right one.
